About Me
I was born in 1988 in Beal Air Force Base outside of San Francisco, Cali. As a military brat, I spent my childhood moving about every three years. One year i was in a sundress on Christmas in Quam, and the next I was building snowmen in Germany. Needless to say, I didn't have a 'regular' childhood.
At the time, I didn't understand how my dad's profession in the Air Force would shape me into who I am today. By seeing the world, I've come in contact with so many different and interesting cultures and this led to my strong interest in studying people, as individuals and as a group. This fascination is the reason I chose to further my education in public relations.
Although I didn't move to Alabama until I was 14, I've been saying 'War Eagle' my entire life. My dad graudated from Auburn University in 1984 and his love and passion for Auburn encouraged me to become an Auburn Tiger.
Although I'm interested in all aspects of public relations, I would love to focus on human interest writing, editorials and social media. I have a passion for feature writing, blogging and opinion writing because it gives me the opportunity to be fun, inventive and interactive.
During my time at Auburn, I've learned so much about the practice of public relations and about myself. I'm currently looking for an internship that will allow me to further develop my skills. I will graduate in August 2010 and cannot wait to enter the field!
